Problem:
Anti-malware softwares may report Spotfire temp folders to be suspicious
Solution:
When users launch Spotfire Analyst and work on it, there may be a few folders / files created within the Windows user profile's temp folder of that user who is logged in.
These temporary files / folders may be flagged by certain anti-malware applications as suspicious because the files contained within these folders may have double extensions (Ex:
.doc.exe)
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\TIBCO\Spotfire\<version>\Misc-<number>\ There has to be exceptions setup within the anti-malware applications to not scan the TIBCO folder as these are working folders when the analyst is opened and they will be removed when the Analyst is closed.
