Problem:

Execution of create_databases.bat script gives "The syntax of the command is incorrect" error.


Solution:

When trying to create a Spotfire database in SQL SERVER, you may see the following error when executing create_databases.bat script.

"The syntax of the command is incorrect" . Usually, we see this error when there are any syntactical errors in scripts. Make sure that there aren't any special characters (Ex:  "<" ">" symbols) added to the script

Example: In parameter value, set ADMINNAME=<sa>.

Removing  <> will resolve this issue.
