Problem:

TIBCO Spotfire Installed Client crashes when right click on a waterfall chart with no data table assigned


Solution:

If the data table used by a Waterfall Chart is deleted, then right clicking on the Waterfall Chart may case the client to crash. You can replicate the issue with the following steps:

  1. Add a Waterfall Chart in the TIBCO Spotfire Installed client version 7.6, 7.7, or 7.8
  2. Delete the primary data table which is used by Waterfall Chart
  3. Right click on the Waterfall Chart
For version 7.8, apply hotfix TS 7.8 HF-008 or higher.

For versions 7.6 and 7.7, upgrade to 7.8 and apply TS 7.8 HF-008 or higher, or upgrade to 7.9 or higher. Wiki: Overview of hotfixes for TIBCO Spotfire
