Exception is thrown when creating a new in-db connection.
When In-Database connectors (e.g., SQL Server / SQL Server Analysis Services) are used, Spotfire Analyst client throws an exception and does not allow the user to proceed further.
The following exception may be thrown:
Note: The build "Version" information within the exception may be different. In the example shown below, the Version is 16.7.8727.4762

An exception was thrown by the data connection.
Exception text:
System.TypeLoadException: Method 'Visit' in type 'Spotfire.Dxp.Data.Adapters.Adomd.Mdx.SqlQueryTranslator' from assembly 'Spotfire.Dxp.Data.Adapters.Adomd, Version=16.7.8727.4762, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=789861576bd64dc5' does not have an implementation.

This happens if the Connectors deployment package deployed in Spotfire Server and downloaded to the Spotfire Analyst desktop client is from an old Spotfire client deployment. A common scenario is when an upgrade to 7.5 / 7.6 is done and the core deployment packages were applied, but the Connectors deployment package was not.
Apply the correct Connectors deployment package (SDN file) to the default deployment area, then relaunch the Spotfire client, login to Spotfire Server, and accept updates. This will download the updated Connectors deployment package to the Spotfire client.
