How to "Color by" based on a column from another data table.

Use one data table to create the visualization, scatter plot, bar chart, map chart, etc. Then base the “Color by” on a column from a second table. When this happens, the aggregation in the “Color by” is based on the complete table and not each row that matches within the tables. This causes the "Color by" to be based on one value and not a range.

To be able to set the “Color by" feature correctly, you will need to add the column from the second table into the main table, using the "Insert > Column…" selection from the main menu. Once the new column has been added to the main table, the "Color by" feature will work correctly.
