Release Announcement – ChemDraw Direct 2.0

We are pleased to announce the release of ChemDraw Direct 2.0. ChemDraw Direct (CDD) is a pure JavaScript sketcher with the chemical intelligence and esthetics of ChemDraw on the desktop, available as a zero download component for use in web browsers and other apps. This enables host organizations to utilize ChemDraw Direct within internal applications. ChemDraw Direct 2.0 includes a major architectural update to make it more fully compatible with ChemDraw Desktop. It also includes significant increases to the sketching capabilities including the addition of the complete set of bonds, arrows, rings, templates and nicknames contained within ChemDraw desktop. The data integrity of items copied from ChemDraw desktop has been expanded so items such as biopolymers (HELM), atom properties and other drawing elements are retained. The Enhanced browser add-ins have been updated, the Chrome add-in is no longer dependent on JRE. Additional functionality being released in ChemDraw 17, such as the Enhanced Hotkeys capability has also been included..
