It is possible to schedule Spotfire Server LDAP user synchronization several times per day, every hour or even more often. As long as the time it takes to complete synchronization task is shorter than the time interval between scheduled runs, there aren't any consequences to running very frequent LDAP user synchronization. In most environments, this task takes just a few minutes, with very minor impact on performance of the Spotfire Server.
The only possible problem scenario that could arise is when there are network problems or LDAP server connection issues when LDAP synchronization setting 'safe-synchronization' is not enabled. If Spotfire Server is not able to successfully complete LDAP synchronization, user accounts in synchronized LDAP groups will be disabled in the Spotfire user directory until the next successful synchronization.
