How to change the default renderer used by Lead Discovery to render structure data

This article will explain how to change the default renderer used by Lead Discovery to render structure data.

Resolution

The following steps will change the default renderer of MOLFILE data from ChemDraw to RDKit. The same steps should be followed to change the renderer for any other chemical data format. The change will only effect the user that performs the steps.

1. Open Spotfire Analyst
2. From the menu bar, go to Tools > Options.
3. Select Application from the left menu.
4. Click Renderer Settings
5. Click Add.
6. Enter the MIME type of chemical data format (e.g. chemical/x-mdl-molfile)
7. Select the new default renderer (e.g. RDKit)
8. Click OK
