Upgrade process involves deploying a new Spotfire Lead Discovery Biotech Bundle environment and then migrating users, groups and analysis files from previous environment. The process is not an in-place upgrade, but a new installation, on new AWS VM instances, and then data migration from old environment into new environment:
1. In current environment, export users and groups: open Spotfire Analyst client, go to Tools-> Administration Manager-> Export tab, select all checkmark options and click on "Export Users..." and "Export Groups..." to save exported data into flat text files.
2. In current environment, export Spotfire Library content: open Spotfire Analyst client, go to Tools-> Library Administration, click on "Export" button. Exported zip file will be saved in <Tibco-home>\tss\<version>\tomcat\application-data\library\ folder.
3. Deploy new version of Spotfire Biotech Bundle in a new environment.
4. Copy exported data from old environment: Copy exported text files with users and groups into new environment. Copy Library content zip file from old environment into <Tibco-Home>\tss\<version>\tomcat\application-data\library\ directory.
5. Import users and groups: open Spotfire Analyst client, go to Tools-> Administration Manager-> Import tab, select all checkmark options and browse to exported files with user and group data.
6. Import Spotfire Library content: Exported library zip file needs to be in <Tibco-home>\tss\<version>\tomcat\application-data\library\ folder. Open Spotfire Analyst client, go to Tools-> Library Administration, click on "Import" button.
7. If there are any custom configuration settings in the old environment (for example, TLS certificate, 3rd party JDBC drivers or data source templates), those will need to be manually transferred to the new environment.
