You can selectively enable debug logging for a sub-set of servers. However, it can be difficult to foresee which one will yield logs relating to the target problem. If in doubt enable debugging for all servers.
Servers/Nodes
· Open a browser and log in to your Spotfire Server as admin.
· Click on Monitoring & Diagnostics.
The same steps then apply for Servers and Nodes but need to be applied for each as required.
· Under Spotfire servers or Nodes click on the checkbox/s to the left to select one or more.
· To the right, click on Set log configuration.
· Select DEBUG and click Set.
After you have completed troubleshooting and no longer need debugging, select the Servers or Nodes and click on Reset log configuration. To confirm check the ‘Log configuration’ column.
Web Player service instances
· Web Player instances appear at the bottom of Monitoring and Diagnostics
· For each service instance click on the three dots to right to bring up the menu.
· Select Enable Full monitoring logging
· Repeat as required for each instance.
After you have completed troubleshooting and no longer need debugging select the three dots and select Restore monitoring logging, repeating for each instance.
