When trying to open Excel files in the TIBCO Spotfire installed or web client, you get the following error message:
Error message: Could not read the selected data.
NullReferenceException at System.Windows.Forms:

Resolution:
This issue has been addressed from version 10.8, as well as in hotfix HF-011 for 10.3, and hotfix HF-001 for 10.7.
