Details:
Due to the switch to parallel loading in Spotfire 11.4, in some situations its possible that Database stored procedures fail with the error:
Failed to execute query: ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded
This happens when the expected process flow, goes out of sequence. Sometimes stored procedure are used to set security, and unset security. Separate information links are then used to pull data between these other events.
Solution:
Disable parallel loading for the report, to see if it fixes the problem.
If this fixes the problem, but this also needs to be set for all documents, this can done via preferences.
The choice of the Everyone group, can be adjusted so that some users can still get the benefit of parallel loading.
