• What is the purpose of a notebook?

 Notebooks are a collection of experiments. Notebooks can also include files of different types and text editors.

• Who controls notebook access?

 The owner of the notebook (i.e. any person who has the "Full Control" permission over this notebook) controls the access. When the owner shares a notebook with another user or a group without giving them "Full Control", they cannot further share it with anyone else. 

• Can notebook access be controlled by a group owner?

 Only if he is the owner of the notebook and he can provide Can Edit or Can View privilege to groups or individual users.

• Can notebooks be accessed by other members in a group? Or members outside of a group? How is this controlled?

If notebooks are shared with a group, they can be edited or viewed by the members of that group depending on the Edit/View privilege respectively.

If the notebook is shared with individual users, who are not members of the group, they can edit or view it depending on the Edit/View privileges allocated to them.

The owner of the notebook controls the privileges.

• Can there be more than one author to an experiment? If so, how is this allowed? Does this occur before or after an experiment is signed?

 There can be only one author to an experiment. The owner can then share the experiment with other users, in the tenant, with Can Edit privilege who can contribute to an experiment.  

• After an experiment is signed, who can "read" the archived experiment? Who controls the read access to an experiment?

 After the experiment is signed, the users who have read privileges (including the reviewers) can view the experiment. The owner of the experiment controls the read access.
