Signals Notebook: Add a new Plate item to an experiment in Signals

Prior to this task:

✔ Experiment must be created.

1️⃣ Signals Dashboard ➡ select [Experiments]
2️⃣ Experiments ➡ select experiment
3️⃣ Experiment ➡ select [Add Content] ➡ select [Plates]
4️⃣ Create Plates window ➡ select Plate Template* Plate Size* Plate Map Number of Plates*
5️⃣ Create Plates window ➡ select [Create]

Supporting Knowledge

Default annotation layers

• Well Format: Defines the format of the plate and assigns labels to the wells.
• Concentration: Displays the concentration of the substance of interest within the well.
• Material: Specifies the material used in the respective well, which can be selected from the experiment or any materials library.
• Amount: A numerical field to indicate the quantity of materials entered in the well.
• Replicate: Indicates the number of times the materials have been processed or run.
• Deviation: Allows for the entry of text or observations specific to individual wells.

Notes:

• Plate templates are provided by Sytem Administrators and it allows users to select different pre-defined layouts holding specific annotation layers.
• Users can decide to not use a Template by selecting "No Template" option.
• Plates can also be added to Parallel Experiments.
