Add a Material Request in Inventory

Prior to this task:

✔ An order must be created.

1️⃣ Inventory ➡ select [Material Orders]
2️⃣ Material Orders ➡ select Request ID
3️⃣ Material Order ➡ select   [Add to Inventory]
4️⃣ Reagent ➡ edit information ➡  select [Register Reagent]†
5️⃣ Add Containers ➡ fill out information ➡ select [Create Containers]

Supporting Knowledge

† During step 4 of the registration process, you may encounter different options depending on whether the reagent already exists in your Inventory. If the system detects a potential match with an existing reagent, you'll see two choices:

• [Treat as Unique]: Select this to register the reagent as a completely new item, separate from any existing entries.
• [Use Match]: Select this to link your reagent with the existing Inventory record.

Select the option that best fits your needs and Inventory management practices.

Additionally, note that the registration steps may differ slightly when you're registering Containers that will be placed in grid locations.
