Signals Notebook: Open a Spotfire for Signals item from an experiment in Signals

Prior to this task:

✔ Experiment must be created.

✔ Spotfire for Signals item must be added to an experiment.

1️⃣ Signals Dashboard ➡ select  [Experiments]
2️⃣ Experiments ➡ select experiment
3️⃣ Experiment Contents pane ➡ select ["Spotfire for Signals name"]
4️⃣ Spotfire for Signals item section ➡ select  [Edit in Spotfire for Signals]

Alternatively, the user can open the Spotfire for Signals item online. From the Spotfire for Signals item section, select [Edit in Spotfire for Signals Online].

When another user is editing the Spotfire for Signals item, the file will remain locked. In this instance, the user has two options:

• If permissions are set up, the user can unlock and edit the Spotfire for Signals item. To unlock it, from the Spotfire for Signals item section, select the [File Locked] icon, select [Unlock File Now], then select  [Edit in Spotfire for Signals]/ [Edit in Spotfire for Signals Online].
• If no permissions are set up, the user can view the Spotfire for Signals item as read only. To view it, from the Spotfire for Signals item section, select the [View in Spotfire for Signals]/ [View in Spotfire for Signals Online] icon. From the Non-Editable File window, select [Continue].

Alternatively, the user can open a Spotfire file in Spotfire Analyst (on-prem instance of Spotfire) when appropriate settings have been enabled and the file has been added as a Spotfire file. From the Spotfire file section, select  [Edit in Spotfire Analyst].
