Signals Notebook: How is Volume auto-calculated in the Solvents table

The limiting reagent moles is used in conjunction with Reaction Molarity to get the solvent ratio which in turn is used to auto-calculate the volume.
When a Solvent is added to the Solvents table, the "Limiting Moles/Solvent Ratio" field becomes available. On entering the Limiting Moles/Solvent Ratio and individual ratios of solvents in solvent table the volume gets auto calculated.
 
Limiting Moles/Solvent Ratio = Reaction Molarity
Solvent Ratio = Limiting Moles/Reaction Molarity
Also Solvent Ratio can be considered Total Volume and based on individual ratio entered can be used to calculate Volumes.
 
Please refer the example below and screenshot attached:
Limiting Moles/Solvent Ratio = 2.0mmol and (limiting reagent) Moles = 0.11mmol
Solvent Ratio = 0.055
Here Solvent Ratio is also equivalent to Total volume.
Total Volume = 55 ml
 
Now Ratio are manually entered for both solvent (Butane =1 and Acetone =2) and for getting volume lets consider “x” volume amount (Butane =1x and Acetone =2x)
 
(1x) + (2x) = 55ml
3x = 55ml
X = 55ml/3 = 18.33ml (18 ml approx.)
 
Volume of Butane = 1x = 18ml
Volume of Acetone = 2x = 18.33x2 = 36.66ml (37 ml approx.)
