Signals Notebook: How to create a SDF file for importing compounds into the Reagents(SNB) material library

You can generate an SDF file from a excel worksheet using ChemDraw for Excel and following these steps:

1. Open the file in MS Excel that has ChemDraw for Excel installed
2. Go to the ChemOffice ribbon tab
3. Click 'Convert Worksheet' and click ‘OK’
4. Add a first column called 'Structure'
5. Select each empty row and used 'Molecule' > 'Add' to draw the chemical structure
6. Once the structures are added, select 'Import/Export' > 'Export Table'
7. In the Save As… dialog window type a file name and select 'SDF File (*.sdf, *sd)'
