It is possible to give permission to a System Administrator or specific standard users to archive and return from archive experiments, to do this follow the steps below:
*If the user to whom you want to give the permission to archive experiments already has the System Administrator user role, you can exclude steps 2 to 8.
1.Login to Signals Configuration.
2.Click on the “User Roles" smart folder.
3. In the "Enter a unique role name" field, create a unique role for the user that will have the permission to archive experiments, for example "Archive User".
4. Select the "Author" tab.
5. For the user role you have just created, select the “Archive” and “Return from Archive” options. This will give the user privileges to Archive/ Return from Archive experiments.
6. Select the “Users” smart folder.
7. Look for the standard user you want to give the Archive privileges to and select it.
8. On User Roles, assign the “Archive User” user role you have created, and click “Save Changes”.
9. Select the “System Objects” smart folder > “Experiment”.
10. Click on “Workflows” > “Archiving Experiments”.
11. Check the "Allow archive and return from archive" checkbox.
12. Click “Save Settings”.
Users with the "Archive User" or with the "System Admin" role will now be able to archive their experiments and reopen them when needed.
