SNB has several collaboration tools/workflows to be configured by admins which are useful to the user base, here we will describe the review workflows available within the app.
When an experiment is assigned to you for review, it appears in your Dashboard under the "Awaiting your review" section. Depending on your notifications configuration, you might get a notification when you log in to Signals Notebook informing you that someone assigned you an experiment to review.
The default review workflow will allow one user to review and accept or reject an experiment and add notes for more detail.
To review an experiment:
Select the Experiment from your "Awaiting your review" experiments list or click on the experiment's link in your notifications. The experiment's status is In Review.
You can accept/reject the experiment from the Status page or from the IN REVIEW dropdown list.
To accept the experiment:
1. Select Accept option from the IN REVIEW drop down list or, click Status tab in the Experiment's toolbar and click on Accept button from the Status page.
The Accept page displays.
2. If required, enter a comment in the comment text box.
Note: Entering a comment is optional or mandatory depending on your system configuration. If configured, you might get a list of default comments pre-defined by your system administrator, you can either select a comment or add a new one.
3. Check the electronic signature agreement checkbox and click on Accept button.
The status page appears confirming that the experiment's status is Closed and that no more actions can be performed to the closed experiment. In addition, it displays the experiment's status history at the right side.
Note: When a group is assigned as reviewer, a single member of the group can review at a time and once done the experiment status becomes closed or rejected as per the user action. Another member of the group or any other user cannot review the experiment until the experiment creator, or any other user having full control access on that experiment reopens it and assigns them again as reviewers.
In the case of your organization needing a second collaborator to review the experiment, your administrator would need to set up the Two stage review workflow
Within the help section of the notebook/user guide you will also find information regarding how to reject an experiment just navigate to the Working with experiment menu icons section and look for reviewing experiments
