Step 1: Downloading Spotfire Analyst Client

1. Spotfire Analyst client can be downloaded from http://edelivery.tibco.com. Make sure you have valid credentials and the right permissions for download.
2. Search for Spotfire Analyst and select the appropriate version based on your operating system.

Step 2: Locating the Modules Folder

Browse to the Modules folder for your TIBCO Spotfire Analyst installation. Note that the Modules folder is hidden by default.

• For a shared computer setup, this folder is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\TIBCO\Spotfire\<version number>.
• For a single-user setup, this folder is similar to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\TIBCO\Spotfire\<version number>.

Common Issues:

I. Unblocking a Zipped Folder

Some machines are set to block files that have been downloaded from the Internet. A zipped archive (or a self-extracting executable), which is blocked will also stamp all files contained in the archive as blocked when they are extracted. Blocked files can create many undesirable consequences at runtime. Therefore, it is important to ensure that any files originating from the Internet are unblocked before extraction or execution. 

1. Locate the zipped folder containing the necessary modules for package building.
2. Right-click (or Control-click) on the zipped folder and select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac).
3. In the properties or info window, check for an "Unblock" button or checkbox.
4. If the "Unblock" option is available, click it to unblock the zipped folder. This step ensures that the files within the folder are not blocked from use.
5. Click "Apply" (Windows) or close the window (Mac) to save the changes.

II. Unhiding the Modules Folder
Windows:

1. In the File Explorer window displaying the Spotfire installation folder, go to the "View" tab in the menu bar.
2. In the "View" tab, check the "Hidden items" option in the "Show/hide" section. This will reveal the hidden files and folders.
3. The "Modules" folder should now be visible in the Spotfire installation folder.

Mac:

1. In the Finder window displaying the Spotfire installation folder, press the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + Dot (? + Shift + .) to show hidden files and folders.
