I have tried to use the Visual Basic for Application (VBA) Macros within the Signals Notebook integrated Excel sheets, but I have not been able to find the option to use this function. Is there any way to use VBA in Signals Notebook?
Solution: Signals Notebook Excel integration uses by default Excel Online, where VBA Macros are not available, however, if you have desktop Excel installed on your PC, you can use this version of Excel as editor and use VBA Macros. In order to open Excel desktop as an editor for your spreadsheets in Signals Notebook, you must follow the steps below:
- Log into signals notebook.
- Access to the experiment where you have your excel table.
- Search for your excel table and click on "edit in excel".
- A pop-up window will appear in case you have never used this spreadsheet function, accept to open excel.
- Once desktop Excel opens, you can use the VBA tools as you would normally do in this application.
Note: Remember that you must have excel installed on your PC, additionally, all changes made in excel desktop must be saved manually or you will lose the changes made to your table.
