Issue after changing URL of Signals Notebook in Signals VitroVivo.

URL, Signals Notebook, Signals VitroVivo, Editable Data Grid, EDG, SVV, SNB

Details:

Question:

We recently changed the SNB URL and I have edited the preferences in the Administration manager, but when I try to use the editable data grid from SVV, it looks like it is still pointing to the old SNB URL. How can I fix this?

Answer:

This issue is due to opening the app or the workflow from a saved location where the old preference is serialized.

Opening the .dxp or workflow from Tools > Signals Apps prevents the problem.

SAAS – the latest SaaS version no longer serializes the notebook URL in the .dxp so the issue would no longer occur in SaaS.

On Prem – Must connect to new URL and re-save.

In order to resolve this issue:

For the Editable Data Grid App:

1. Make sure to go to Tools-> Signals Apps
2. Go to Apps-Editable Data grid and connect to Signals Notebook

For Workflows / .DXPs containing Editable Data Grid App that is connected to SNB

1. Make sure to go to Tools-> Signals Apps
2. Go to Workflow
3. run Workflow
4. Save workflow for use replacing the old one that is no longer valid

Any shortcuts, recently used, saved in the library, etc will be affected.
