Supporting Knowledge
Notes:
- The .csv file must contain columns that match with the columns of the Materials Table.
- The acceptable internal reference values are IDs that are used in Signals Notebook (Material ID, Sample ID, Experiment ID etc.).
- Upon uploading the .csv file, the valid IDs are added and the internal reference field displays the referenced items as links with a
[Preview] icon.
- If the user enters an invalid ID in the .csv file for importing into the Materials Table, the
[Invalid ID] warning along with the
[Remove this row] icons are available.
- If any of the internal reference values are not unique i.e. they map to more than one entity in Signals notebook, then the .csv file import into the Materials Table will fail.
-
If the internal reference items are valid but do not match with the predefined query for the internal reference field, then the .csv file import into the Materials Table will fail.
-
When the .csv file import into the Materials Table fails, a message displays stating the reason of the failure.
-
Materials containing up to 100 unique reference items can be mapped using the Import from .csv option in one multi field internal reference.
