Signals Notebook: Create a Vertical Summary view for a Variations Table in Signals

Prior to this task:

✔ Experiment must be created.

✔ Variations Table template must be created.

✔ Variations Table must be added to an experiment.

✔ Components Table and Variants Table must be filled in.

1️⃣ Signals Dashboard ➡ select [Experiments]
2️⃣ Experiments ➡ select experiment with variations table
3️⃣ Experiment Contents pane ➡ select ["variations table name"]
4️⃣ Variations Table section ➡ select Vertical Summary   5️⃣ Vertical Summary tab ➡ select [Select Properties to Display]
6️⃣ Select Properties to Display window ➡ select Primary Column Component Columns to Display Variants to Display Headers to Display Columns to Display 7️⃣ Select Properties to Display window ➡ select [Confirm]
8️⃣ Vertical Summary tab ➡ select [Save Layout]

Supporting Knowledge

• The Vertical Summary renders a comparison view to see all the Variants primarily to facilitate experimental design.
• Limits of properties to display in the summary are:
  • Max 4 component columns
  • Max 3 headers
  • Max 4 columns

While the user enters data into a Variations Table in the Vertical Summary view, they can use the Tab/Shift Tab keys to switch between the editable cells. Therefore, if the cursor is in an editable cell:

• The user can press the Tab key to move the cursor to the same property in the next Variant in the same column. If the cursor is in the final editable cell in the column, it will move to the first editable cell in the next column.
• The user can press Shift+Tab keys to move the cursor to the same property in the previous Variant in the same column. If the cursor is in the first editable cell in the column, it will move to the final editable cell in the previous column.
