Create a new Material Type from the Signals Configuration

For Administrators only.

*Required.

1️⃣ Signals Configuration ➡ select [Materials]
2️⃣ Material Types pane ➡ select Create Material Type
3️⃣ Create New Material Type section ➡ select/type Type* Material Type Name* Asset Level Name* With batches/lots* Batch Level Name*
4️⃣ Create New Material Type section ➡ select [Create]

Supporting Knowledge

Available Types:

• Custom: does not allow the entry of chemical structure or upload of biological sequence files.
• Compounds: for materials with a similar configuration to the default Compounds library.
• Reagents: for materials with a similar configuration to the default Reagents (SNB) library.
• DNA: allows users to upload DNA sequence files.
• RNA: allows users to upload RNA sequence files.
• Protein: allows users to upload Protein sequence files.

The choice to add batches/lots to the library cannot be reverted once the library is created. The Batch Level Name can be added only if the checkbox is enabled.
