This behavior is expected when checking recent activity in History of experiments, parallel experiments, requests, admin defined objects, samples, tasks etc.
All events have creation timestamp and modification timestamp. For some cases, such as create and delete events, the creation timestamp and modification timestamp are equal. However, for edit events we save edits approximately every three seconds, but collect a series of such events over minute to create a single entry in the History in a process known as squashing. When we do this, the creation and modification timestamps for the event are different. The History display sorts the events by creation timestamp but displays the modification timestamp.
