Signals Inventory: Moving Contents Between Grid Locations

Description: Users may encounter limitations when attempting to move contents between grid locations (e.g. boxes within racks) in Revvity Signals Inventory.

Solution:

1. The "Move Location Contents" functionality is not supported for grid locations.
2. Users cannot move individual items or sublocations within a grid using this feature.
3. For gridded locations like racks, boxes, or plates, alternative methods must be used to relocate contents:
   • Use the barcode search function to move individual containers
   • Manually update locations for items one at a time
4. The "Move Location Contents" button will appear grayed out and disabled for grid locations.
5. This limitation applies to all grid sublocations, including boxes in racks and vials in boxes.
