Description: When working with parallel experiment templates users may customize subexperiment summary tables by unhiding default-hidden columns and rearranging column order. However, these customizations are reset to default settings whenever modifications are made to the fields, such as adding or removing columns in the Reactants/Products tables.
Solution: This behavior is the current intended functionality of the feature. When a new field is added the subexperiment summary table will reset to its default configuration:
- Any columns that were previously unhidden will return to their hidden state
- Any column rearrangements will be lost
- These changes are not tracked in the experiment history
Users should be aware that they will need to customize again the subexperiment summary tables after making any changes to fields. To minimize rework:
- Finalize all chemistry field setting configurations before customizing subexperiment summary tables
- Document your preferred column configurations for quick reference when customizing again is needed
Note: The Signals Notebook product team has acknowledged this behavior and may consider changes to this functionality in future releases based on user feedback you can review the request at the Ideas Portal: https://ideas.revvitysignals.com/ideas/SNB-I-2030
