Signals Notebook: Whitelisting URLs for Signals Notebook in Closed Networks

To ensure proper functionality of Signals Notebook, the following URLs and domains should be whitelisted within the client’s firewall or network security gateway:

• *.instana.io
• *.officeapps.live.com
• *.office.net
• login.srp.revvitycloud.com
• webdav.<environment name>
  (For example: webdav.signalsresearch.revvitycloud.com)

These endpoints are required for internal system communication, authentication flows, and application functionality. The client’s internal IT/security team should configure the allowlisting at the firewall or secure web gateway level.

We also use web sockets which should be allowed through your firewall. WebSocket firewall configuration requires allowing persistent TCP traffic on ports 80 (WS) or 443 (WSS), with 443 strongly recommended to bypass most restrictions. Proper configuration involves enabling WebSocket support on reverse proxies (Nginx, Apache, or cloud firewalls) to allow the "HTTP Upgrade" header. Secure connections (WSS) should use valid CA certificates.
