This feature was introduced in version 25.1 and appears as a mandatory field (marked with a red asterisk) in the disposal workflow. Similarly, the Check In/Out function requires location specification.
Solution:
Since the location field cannot be disabled for container disposal or Check In/Out operations, the recommended workaround is to create a dedicated location called "Disposal" (or similar naming convention) in the system. Users can then select this placeholder location when disposing of containers.
To implement this solution:
1. Create a new location in Signals Notebook Inventory named "Disposal"
2. When disposing of containers, select this location from the dropdown menu
3. Use this consistent approach for all disposal operations to maintain organization within the inventory system
