Once a Signals Notebook tenant subdomain has been created (e.g., example.signalsresearch2.revvitycloud.com), it cannot be directly renamed. However, organizations may need to change their subdomain for branding purposes or to better reflect their production environment.
Solution: Administrators can request a new subdomain for the same tenant from Revvity Support by creating a case that contains:
a. The current tenant URL (e.g., example.signalsresearch2.revvitycloud.com)
b. The new subdomain name (e.g., newname.signalsresearch2.revvitycloud.com)
Both subdomains will function simultaneously, this is to provide time for the customer to perform configuraiton changes. When ready, the old subdomain can be deactivated by request from the customer.
Implementation Considerations:
- Software Licensing: Users will need to use the new subdomain URL to activate software like ChemDraw Desktop
- User Data: The new subdomian is just an additional tenant name all the configuraiton, users and data remain the same
- Authentication:
* If using Signals Authentication, no additional configuration is needed
* If using External SAML/SSO, authentication must be configured for the new subdomain
- References and Integrations: Any links, references, or integrations using the old URL must be manually updated to use the new subdomain
