System Requirements for Spotfire SignalsOne

Overview

This article details the system requirements and prerequisites for running Spotfire® for Signals Apps as part of the SignalsOne platform, including both web browser and local Analyst client configurations.

Supported Operating Systems

Desktop/Local Client

• Windows 10 (64-bit)
• Windows 11 (64-bit)
• Note: The locally installed Analyst client is exclusively available on Windows systems

Web Browser Access

Spotfire® for Signals can be accessed via web browsers on multiple platforms, though some advanced functionalities may be limited in browser mode.

Software Prerequisites

Before installing Spotfire® for Signals Apps, ensure the following components are installed:

Required Software Components

1. Spotfire® for Signals (base installation)
   • Refer to the Spotfire® for Signals Installation Guide for detailed instructions
2. Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable Package (x86)
   • Download from: https://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?id=48145
   • Required for proper application functionality
3. Java Runtime Environment
   • Version: Java 8.0 or higher (64-bit)
   • JAVA_HOME environment variable must be properly configured
4. Microsoft .NET Runtime
   • Version: 4.8.x or higher
   • Required for Windows-based functionality

Regional Settings Requirements

• System regional settings: Must be configured in English
• Web browser regional settings: Must be configured in English
• Decimal separator: Must use dots (.) as decimal separators

Note: SciStream supports non-English regional settings as long as input data uses dots (.) as decimal separators.

Installation Restrictions

Unsupported Configurations

• Network drives: Installation of Spotfire directory on NAT drives is not supported
• TERR library: Installation of TERR library directory on NAT drives is not supported
