Description:

Root Cause:
The issue occurs when the Spotfire for Signals folder is located within OneDrive's managed directory. OneDrive uses a "reparse point" mechanism where file entities exist in the cloud rather than locally. When the update process attempts to modify these cloud-based files, it can result in update failures.

Solution:
1. Do NOT just move the existing Spotfire for Signals folder from its OneDrive location
2. Download a fresh copy of the Spotfire for Signals installer (ZIP file)
3. Extract the installer to a location outside of OneDrive management:
  - Avoid: C:\Users\[username]\Downloads\Spotfire_for_Signals_Portable\
  - Use instead: C:\temp\Spotfire_for_Signals_Portable\
4. Run Spotfire for Signals from the new location
5. Perform the update process
