Signals Notebook: Japanese characters are garbled in Excel when exporting to CSV

Signals Notebook has the capability to download content from Tables and Samples as .csv files but Japanese characters can become garbled if the following steps are not followed during import:

    1. Open an Excel document where you want to import the data from.
    2. Go to Data/From Text.
    3. Find and select the .csv file to import from the File Explorer dialog.
    4. Choose Get Data.
    5. Keep the Delimited radio button selected.
    6. Change the File Origin dropdown to Unicode (UTF-8).
    7. Select Next.
    8. Change the Delimiter to Comma.
    9. Select Finish (unless other columns need special handling also).
  10. Choose where to put the data (Existing sheet vs new sheet)
  11. Select OK.
