Problem:
Oracle XML parsing error message when attempting to add a new compound in Registration
Solution:
"ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing LPX-00222: error received from SAX callback function ORA-00001: unique constraint (REGDB.UNQ_REGNUM_REG_NUMBER) violated ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_XMLSTORE", line 78 ORA-06512: at "REGDB.COMPOUNDREGISTRY", line 2790 ORA-06512: at "REGDB.COMPOUNDREGISTRY", line 3755 ORA-06512: at line 1"
This error will be displayed when the 'Registry Number' generated by the application is a duplicate. This can happen when:
- After a migration or update the registry sequence was not correctly set
- The registry sequence has been altered to reuse a registry number and was not returned to the correct value
- The registry sequence has reached the max number of records predefined
Editing the registry sequence to the correct value should allow compound registration without error.
