How to edit\move all the plates in Inventory Enterprise in one go?

To update (change the same value(s)) or move to the new location all the plates you have in the system at a time:

a)Login to COE. Go to Inventory->Search->Plate Search.

b)Run search for any field

The best way to have as search result all the plates is to search using the property (search field value) that is not null (all the plates have this value populated) and which is common for all the plates you have (e.g. ‘Unit of Measure’, ‘Plate Format’ etc.)

In case if you have for example 3 values in a ‘Plate Format’ dropdown (view picture below) and all the plates don’t have only 1 of them but all three formats are used you could do the next:

1)       Select the 1^st one value (‘384 Compound Format’)

2)       Run Search

3)       Hit ‘Mark All Records’ button. Hit ‘New query’ button

4)       Select the 2nd value from the dropdown (’80 Compound Assay Format’). Run Search

5)       Hit ‘Mark All Records’ button. Hit ‘New query’ button

6)       Select the 3^rd value and so on repeat the same steps

7)       After all the plates will be marked go to ‘Marked Hits->Show Marked’ in the menu

è  As the result you will have all your plates marked

c) Select 'Multi Select' option and ‘Select All’

e)In order just to edit any plate field for all plates select 'Update Plates' option. Select 'Plate Fields' for updating and set new values

f) In order just to move all the plates in new location select 'Move Plates' option. Select new location
