Problem:

Why aren't my changes to the preferences being saved?


Solution:

Preferences are stored on a machine in a cookie.  For this reason, your browser must be set to automatically "Check for newer versions of stored pages".

To set your browser:

  1. Select Internet Options under the Tools menu.
  2. Select the General Tab (if it isn't already selected).
  3. Click on the Settings button under Temporary Internet Files.
  4. Select the Automatically radio button.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Apply.
