Performance issues while having a lot of content in Text section

When Text section has some images/tables, typing text there may become slower. Also, saving/navigating away from this section may take longer.



WORKAROUND:


As an E-Notebook administrator, go to Data ->  System -> Global Add-ins -> Form Controls -> AutoText -> switch from EnhancedControls (original) to ENStandardForms:

 
Field Control Assembly: ENStandardForms

Field Control Class: CambridgeSoft.ENStandardForms.Text.StyledTextControl

 
Once the change is made, refresh application (Data -> Refresh All).

 

NOTE:


Though the "Insert" menu is not available in ribbon/right-click with ENStandardForms, images/tables can still be pasted into Text section via clipboard.

For example, open your image file in an external image editor (e.g. Paint) -> Select All -> Copy. In E-Notebook Text section, right-click anywhere within autotext -> Edit -> Paste.

Tables can be added similarly, by copying from an external application, and pasting into autotext.
