Problem:

A newly created user does not have privileges in it's user group


Solution:

This can happen if the user's privileges have not been set correctly. You can propagate an user groups privileges enabling the inherit the security option. To do so follow these steps:

  1. Log in to E-Notebook as Administrator
  2. Browse to the user you wish to assign privileges
  3. Right click over the user and select 'Collection Properties'
  4. Mark the 'Inherits Security' checkbox
  5. Click 'OK'
