Problem:

Node service fails to read version info for installed packages


Solution:

When, in Server Admin UI > Nodes & Services, adding a new service on an upgraded Node Manager it says "None" under "Installed version". 
Under "Available version" it says the just installed version, as an example for 7.9: 31.0.11202.3426.
This is due to the re-use of DB between versions.
