Why don't the results from my Predictive Analytics tools show up in Web Player?

Spotfire analysis files can be created that take advantage of various predictive analytics tools, such as: Regression modeling

Classification modeling

Forecast: Holt-Winters (line chart)

The results from these tools show up correctly when viewed in the Spotfire desktop client, but when the file is opened in Web Player they disappear. See attached screen shots to illustrate the missing Holt-Winters line from the Web Player image.

Resolution

Predictive Analytics tools in Spotfire rely on the built-in TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R (TERR) engine for their calculations; however, there is no TERR engine included with Spotfire Web Player. To view predictive analytics, the Web Player must be configured to connect via URL to a TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS) installation that uses TERR as its statistical engine. The Web Player can then execute a built-in data function to calculate these values using TSSS and TERR.

Note: TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS) is a separate product, and a separate purchase. It is not part of TIBCO Spotfire Server.
