Web Player Monitoring tab fails to launch.
When a Spotfire Web Player Administrator tries to open the Web Player Diagnostics page, the display is a page with an error (when using Internet Explorer) or just a blank page (when using other supported browsers).
Web Player Monitoring tab fails to launch in a web browser, and if it is opened in Internet Explorer, it throws the following error:
"This content cannot be displayed in a frame".
The error "This content cannot be displayed in a frame" comes up if the component is blocked.
Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
Browse to the Spotfire WebPlayer website and click on the SpotfireWeb application.
In the "IIS" section, within the center pane, click on "HTTP Response Headers".
In the "Actions" pane on the right, click "Add" and enter the following:
Name: X-Frame-Options
Value: SAMEORIGIN
Click OK.
If the X-Frame-Options parameter is present but with values either "DENY" or "ALLOW-FROM uri", change the value to "SAMEORIGIN".
Restart the Spotfire WebPlayer Application Pool (or restart IIS, if the Spotfire Web Player is the only site installed on the IIS instance), for the changes to take effect.
