Problem:

Action Controls that use functions such as "Filter to Marked Rows" or "Unmark All" in Text Areas do not work in TIBCO Spotfire 6.0.0.


Solution:


In existing analysis files, action controls (buttons/links/images) using functions like "Filter to Marked Rows" or "Unmark All" in Text Areas do not work after upgrading to TIBCO Spotfire 6.0.0 with no hotfixes applied. For new analysis files, such action controls stop working after adding a second data table to the analysis.

Symptoms:

• Action controls using functions like "Filter to Marked Rows" or "Unmark All" in text area are not working.

• Action controls using functions like "Filter to Marked Rows" or "Unmark All" not working after upgrading the product to Spotfire 6.0.0.

• Action controls using functions like "Filter to Marked Rows" or "Unmark All" stop working after adding a second data table.

Resolution:

Apply the latest hotfix released for Spotfire 6.0.x. The issue is resolved in hotfix TS_6.0.0.44 HF-001 or later.
