How to create users with only review option in ELN and CBOE?

Applicable Versions:
CBOE: 12.6.3 and ELN 12.1.x, 13.9.x

• Solution:

  In CBOE with Administrator credentials:

  1. Create a Role, say 'Reviewers' (with only CSS_LOGIN option)
  2. Assign the roles ( Browser roles from the available roles; ex: ACX_Browser, Inv_Browser, REGDB_Browser etc.,)
  3. Create a user or use the existing user and assign the newly created role 'Reviewers' alone to this user.
  4. Now, when the new user logs into the CBOE, he would be able to only search and view in CBOE.

  In E-Notebook With Administrator credentials:

  1. Create a user group say 'Reviewers' and create a new user in this group
  2. Then by using collection security at the 'Reviewers' group level, grant 'Read' access to everyone in E-Notebook, or to the desired groups alone

  Note: By this way, the user can create new notebooks (and subsequently experiments and will have edit permissions too) under his node in his group 'Reviewers' and not in any other users/groups.
