Tracing in COE 9 and COE 10
Please find below the instruction of how to utilize Trace Logging in Enterprise 9 & 10:
1.The user logging in must have Administrator rights.
2.On the login Main Page select Manage Security | Application Tracing.
3.In the window that appears choose the application you wish to change the trace/logging settings for and click OK.
4.After choosing the application the next dialog will allow you to change the trace/log settings, view the log, or delete the log:
a. Trace Level: 1 – 20 (in increasing log verbosity; 20 being the most verbose log)
b. Trace Session: The current Session until log-out, or Application continually until turned-off.
c. Trace Status: Turning the log on/off.
d. View Trace: View the trace/log file (and copy paste, or view the URL to find out where the file is located for example: http://localhost/ChemInv/logfiles/ChemInv_trace.html; or Server path: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ChemOffice\ChemInv\logfiles)
e. Delete Trace: Will delete the current trace/log.
5.Monitor the log file(s) to make sure it does not grow too large. Re-name the log file when you are completed to ensure it’s not overwritten.
