How can I set up reports.exe to run as a service?

Reports.exe is the application used by the ChemOffice WebServer products to write reports. The application must be running on the server in order for a report to be made, so in order to guarantee this, it is best to set up reports.exe to run as a service. Doing this will not require any additional steps to start running reports.exe other then starting the server.

Four files are necessary to set up the Report Writer as a service. These files are included in a self-extrating zip file which can be downloaded. After downloading the file, double-click on reports_zip.exe. This will create a new directory (C:\Reports_As_Service) containing the files necessary to set up the service. Instructions to finish setting up reports.exe as a service can be found in C:\Rpt_As_Service\run_as_service_instructions.txt.
