Problem:

  • Below error is observed when creating experiments in E-Notebook:

    Sorry, an error occurred while executing the SQL “Chemical_Structure_Cell.Copy”: ORA-29875: failed in the execution of the ODCIINDEXINSERT routine ORA-28575: unable to open RPC connection to external procedure agent.

Solution:

  • Cause and Solution:

    There were two DB Servers. Initially the Cartridge installation was done only on one server. The cartridge was installed on this first server alone. Later customer added another server which was a replica of first server but the cscartridge folder was missing on this second server. Since this was acting as a secondary server there was no issues.  One day they rebooted the first server. After the reboot, the second server became the primary oracle system as it did not have the cartridge installed, the error came . Copying the cartridge folder to the second server fixed the issue.
