When creating a new instance of a custom collection type (e.g. "MyExperiment") containing a custom reaction section (e.g. "My Reaction") using"As Next Step In..." command from Batch Explorer (or StepLink) form tool, the following error message can appear:

When creating a new instance of a custom collection type (e.g. "My Experiment") containing a custom reaction section (e.g. "My Reaction") using "As Next Step In..." command from Batch Explorer (or Step Link) form tool, the following error message can appear: "Sorry, the target experiment does not contain a section to which to link".

1. Log into E-Notebook as an application administrator.
2. Go to Everyone -> Configuration -> User -> Collection Types -> My Experiment. (NOTE: Actual path to your custom collection type may vary depending on the system.)
3. Right-click for "Collection Type Configuration".
4. Go to “Collection Listeners”.
5. Highlight "Replace Chemical Structure" collection listener. On the right pane, you should see Implementation: ENStandard9.ReplaceCellCListener. Click on the "Custom Properties" button, and select Target Section Type: "My Reaction", and Target Field: "Reaction". Click "OK".
6. Highlight "Replace Reactants Data" collection listener. On the right pane, you should see Implementation: ENStandard9.ReplaceCellCListener. Click on the "Custom Properties" button, and select Target Section Type: "My Reaction", and Target Field: "Reactants". Click "OK".
7. Close "Collection Type Configuration" dialog.
8. Refresh E-Notebook (Data -> Refresh All).

If these collection listeners are not listed for your "My Experiment" collection type, please create the missing listeners and configure as described above.
