Problem:

How to resolve "incorrect number of dimensions" error


Solution:

When working with a TERR script file user gets:

Error in colVars(x, ...) : incorrect number of dimensions

when attempting to run data function. Check the Input Parameters dialog to see if 'Limit by' is set to "Marked Rows".  If this is the case, then rows must be marked in the input data table to be passed into data function.
